We manage full-cycle agribusiness operations from input supply to commodity processing. Our teams work directly with farming communities across West Africa to build integrated agricultural value chains that connect smallholder farmers to premium domestic and international markets.
Covering crop sourcing, aggregation, processing, quality control, and market linkage for cassava, maize, soybean, cocoa, palm produce, and other strategic commodities.
Milan Imperial supports large-scale and smallholder farming through mechanization, soil health management, precision agriculture techniques, and best-practice extension services. We operate and manage farms across West Africa with a focus on yield optimisation and sustainability.
Services include land clearing and preparation, planting schedule management, irrigation support, pest and disease control, and harvest logistics.
Access to capital is the #1 barrier for West African farmers. Milan Imperial structures bespoke agro-financing solutions — from smallholder farm credit to large-scale project finance — enabling farmers and agri-businesses to grow without compromising their futures.
Products include input financing, crop advance facilities, commodity-backed lending, outgrower programme finance, and project development funding for agricultural infrastructure.
We design, build, and manage agricultural value chains that connect primary producers to end markets. Our value chain expertise spans procurement, logistics, storage, processing, packaging, and distribution across the West African sub-region.
Our integrated approach reduces post-harvest losses, improves price realisation for farmers, and delivers consistently high-quality agricultural commodities to buyers.
Milan Imperial provides market access services that help West African agri-businesses break into premium domestic, regional, and international markets. We handle compliance, certification, documentation, and buyer relationship management.
Export markets include Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. We assist with GlobalG.A.P., organic, and fair-trade certification processes.
We integrate climate-smart and regenerative agricultural practices into every programme we manage. Our commitment to sustainability improves soil health, sequesters carbon, and builds farmer resilience to climate change across the West African landscape.
Programmes include cover cropping, conservation tillage, integrated pest management, water harvesting, and agroforestry systems.
Milan Imperial's agro-business division promotes regenerative agricultural practices that improve soil health, sequester carbon, and increase farmer resilience to climate change. We think long-term — our decisions today must benefit farmers, clients, communities, and ecosystems for generations to come.
Our commitment to sustainable stewardship is not just an ethical position — it is a business strategy. Sustainable farms are more productive, more resilient, and more attractive to premium buyers. By integrating climate-smart practices from the ground up, we create agricultural enterprises that are built to last.
Through our outgrower programme, we have committed to expanding support to 50,000 smallholder farmers while reducing carbon emissions across our operations by 25% and achieving 100% sustainable sourcing for all key commodities.

Milan Imperial provides comprehensive agro-business solutions in Nigeria including farm operations management, commodity sourcing and processing, agro-financing for smallholder and commercial farmers, agricultural value chain development, market access facilitation, and sustainable farming advisory. Milan Imperial's outgrower programme connects smallholder farmers to inputs, finance, technical support, and guaranteed markets. We work directly with farming communities to improve yields, reduce post-harvest losses, and increase income. Our programme currently supports over 35,000 smallholder farmers across West Africa, with a target to reach 50,000.
We work across a broad range of West African commodities including cassava, maize, soybean, cocoa, palm produce, groundnuts, sesame, ginger, rice, and horticultural produce. Our commodity selection is driven by market demand, regional comparative advantage, and client requirements.
Agro-financing refers to financial products and structures specifically designed for agricultural businesses and farmers. Milan Imperial structures input financing, crop advance facilities, commodity-backed lending, and project finance for agricultural infrastructure — matching financial solutions to the specific cash flow profile and risk environment of each agricultural enterprise.
Milan Imperial does both. We operate and manage farms directly as well as provide advisory, extension, and management services to third-party farming operations. Our approach is tailored to the specific needs of each client — from full farm management to targeted advisory engagements.
